Proof of vaccination: Not required
Test pre-travel/recovery certificate: Antigen test
Test time:

You must present a negative Antigen (lateral flow) test taken 72 hours prior to departure to Rwanda.

Tests are not applicable for accompanied children under 5 years old.

On arrival:

On arrival you will be required to take a COVID19 PCR test at your own cost.  This test is mandatory regardless of vaccination status.  You will need to self isolate until a negative result is received.

Tests cost approximated $60USD.

Form pre-travel:

A Traveller Health Declaration form will need to be completed before travel.  Please check on the link below to see when you are able to complete the form needed for your destination.  You may need to either complete this form electronically, or print out and take with you to show at the airport of departure and arrival. It is important that you check the form as early as you can for time frames as this may need to be completed up to 7 days before travel, or as little as 24 hours before travel.

Return Requirements for Vaccinated Visitors
Test pre-return travel:

Rwanda requires departing travellers to test negative before departure.  You will therefore need to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 3 days (72 hours) before departure from Rwanda.

Test on return:

Not required

Quarantine on return:

Not required

Local regulations:

You should ensure you wear a face mask in all public spaces whether indoors or outside.  You should also follow social distancing guidance.

If you are travelling to a national park and are over the age of 5 you will need to present a negative COVID19 test result taken within 72 hours.  You will also need to show a negative test result taken no more than 72 hours prior when staying in hotels in Rwanda.
