All travellers entering into Japan must show written evidence of a negative COVID-19 test conducted within 3 days (72 hours) before your flight departure time. At present however, UK nationals are not permitted to enter into Japan |
On arrival: |
Arrivals from most countries will be required to undergo a further COVID-19 test on arrival into Japan. You will then need to spend the first 3 nights of your stay in a government provided self-isolation facility and take a further test on the 3rd day. You will then need to self-isolate for a period of 11 days at a designated location such as a hotel, even if the test result is negative.

Local regulations: | There is a state of emergency in place in Okinawa prefecture until 11th July. Other prefectures also have some restrictions in place. You must follow social distancing guidelines and wear masks in all public spaces whether outdoors or indoors. You should avoid closed spaces where possible. Shops and restaurants may be closed or operating reduced hours. You should follow the instructions of the local authorities once in Japan. |
