ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Test time:

You will need to  get a medical certificate taken no longer than 3 days (72 hours) prior to your date of travel, from a health authority stating that you do not have COVID-19.  This certificate should bear the stamp of the issuing facility and be signed by a medical practitioner to ceritfy your result.

On arrival:

You will need to arrange a visa before arrival.  You must also ensure that you have proof of insurance that includes a minimum of USD$50,000 for medical cover.

On arrival you will be subject to a further COVID-19 test.  You will need to remain at a hotel or government facility until the results are known, which may be overnight.

You will need to deposit US$2000 per traveller for COVID-19 service charges at the airport upon arrival.  Once deductions for services have been made, the remainder of the deposit will be returned.  This can be paid in either cash or by credit card.  The fees are as follows and are per person:

- USD$5 for transport from the airport to waiting centre

- USD$100 for one COVID-19 test

- USD$60 for overnight stay and 3 meals whilst waiting on the result.

If a passenger on the flight you have arrived into Cambodia on tests positive for COVID-19 then all passengers on that flight will need to quarantine for 14 days.  Each passenger will have to pay USD$100 for a COVID-19 test and USD$84 per day for hotel facility and food.

If you are a COVID-19 positive patient, you will be charged USD$100 for the COVID-19 test, up to 4 times, plus USD$225 a day for a hospital room and all services.

You will be required to take a COVID-19 test on day 13 of your stay.

Form pre-travel: This destination has not yet confirmed if a Traveller Health Declaration is required and within what timescale.
RETURN REQUIREMENTS
Test pre-return travel:

On your return a negative test must be taken in the 3 days (72 hours) before you depart to the UK. You will be required to show your test results before you board the return flight home.

The test must meet the performance standards of above 97% specificity and above 80% sensitivity at viral loads above 100,000 copies\ml. The test can be a PCR test, a LAMP test or an antigen test, such as a test from a lateral flow device as long as they meet the performance standards

Test on return:

You will be required to take a test on your return back to the United Kingdom.  The details of which will vary as below, depending on the classification of the country you are arriving from.

Green list countries

If you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the green list then you will be required to undergo a further COVID-19 PCR test at your own expense on or before day 2 of your return into the country.  You must ensure that this test is booked before returning to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.  You may need to place the confirmation reference number on your Passenger Locator Form.  This need to be completed and submitted before your departure home.

Should you be arriving into Northern Ireland from either Portugal, Israel or Singapore you will also be asked to take an additional free PCR test on Day 8.

Green watch list countries

If you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is currently on the green watch list, then you will be required to undergo a further COVID-19 PCR test at your own expense on or before day 2 of your return into the country.  Please remember that countries on the green watch list are able to move to the Amber or red lists.  Therefore should the country you are travelling from move before arrival, you will need to follow the guidance below, depending on the new category.  You must ensure that the testing requirements needed are booked before returning to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.  You may need to place the confirmation reference number on your Passenger Locator Form.  This need to be completed and submitted before your departure home.

Amber list countries

if you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the Amber list then alongside your self-isolation period at home, you will be required to undergo 2 further COVID-19 PCR tests at your own expense on your return into the country.  These tests will need to be taken on or before day 2 and on day 8 of your 10 day isolation period.  You may also able to take advantage of the test to release scheme which will allow for a PCR test to be taken on day 5 to release you from isolation.  You must ensure that your 2 tests are booked before returning to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.  You may need to place the confirmation reference number on your Passenger Locator Form.  This needs to be completed and submitted before your departure home.

Red list countries

If you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the red list then you will need to ensure you have booked yourself into government approved hotel quarantine for a 10 day period.  You will be required to undergo 2 further COVID-19 PCR tests at your own expense on your return to the country in your quarantine hotel.  These tests will need to be taken on or before day 2 and on day 8 of your 10 day quarantine period.  You must ensure that your hotel quarantine. along with your test package is booked before returning to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.  You will need to place the confirmation reference number on your Passenger Locator Form.  this needs to be completed and submitted before your departure home.

Quarantine on return:

From the 17th May 2021, the following guidance is in place for quarantine requirements for arrivals into England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Green list countries

If you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the Green list, then you are not required to quarantine or self-isolate at your home on return.  You will need to follow the testing guidance as above.

Green watch list countries

If you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the Green watch list, then you are not required to quarantine or self-isolate at your home on your return.  You will need to follow the testing guidance as above.  Please remember that countries on the green watch list are able to move to the Amber or Red lists.  Therefore, should the country you are travelling from move before your arrival into England or Scotland,  you will need to follow the guidance below, depending on the new category.

Amber list countries

if you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the Amber list, then you will be required to complete a self-isolation period in your own home for a period of 10 days.  You will also need to follow the testing guidance as above.  You are able to reduce the time in self-isolation should you wish by taking advantage of the test to release scheme.

Red list countries

If you are arriving into the United Kingdom from a country that is on the Red list, then you will be required to book yourself into a government approved hotel quarantine for a 10 day period.  This must be booked before you travel to the country.  You will also need to follow the testing guidance as above.  The cost of the hotel quarantine is to be covered by the traveller.

Local regulations:

You are expected to wear a face covering in all public places.  A fine may be imposed on anyone who refuses to do so.  You should also ensure you follow all the social distancing guidelines, locally.

There is currently a curfew in place in Siem Reap.  In Phnom Penh, the curfew has been lifted and you are able to eat at a restaurant and drink or buy alcohol.

Gyms, casinos and nightclubs remain closed until further notice.
