Vaccinated Requirements
Entry Requirements for Vaccinated Visitors
Proof of vaccination:

You will be required to show your COVID-19 vaccinations to enter into the country as fully vaccinated.  You will be able to do this using the NHS COVID app.

Test pre-travel/recovery certificate: Not required
On arrival:

You will be screened on arrival into Australia for symptoms of COVID19.  You should also ensure you have your COVID vaccination record ready to be reviewed.

Children aged 11 and under are classed as fully vaccinated, regardless of their vaccination status.  Children aged 12 to 17 will be classed as fully vaccinated, regardless of their vaccination status, if travelling with at least one adult (over 18) who is fully vaccinated.

Form pre-travel:

A Traveller Health Declaration form will need to be completed before travel.  Please check on the link below to see when you are able to complete the form needed for your destination.  You may need to either complete this form electronically, or print out and take with you to show at the airport of departure and arrival. It is important that you check the form as early as you can for time frames as this may need to be completed up to 7 days before travel, or as little as 24 hours before travel.

Local regulations:

Domestic restrictions are decided on at state level. They may vary from state to state and change at short notice.  It is advisable to check the state and territory websites for the most updated COVID19 information for the state or territory you are in.

Social distancing and the wearing of face masks is still in place across Australia.  The state or territory website for the area you are visiting will have the latest measures.

Be prepared for your plans to change

No travel is risk-free during the COVID-19 pandemic. Countries may further restrict travel or bring in new rules at short notice, for example due to a new COVID-19 variant. Check with your travel company or airline for any transport changes which may delay your journey home.

If you test positive for COVID-19, you may need to stay where you are until you test negative. You may also need to seek treatment there.

Plan ahead and make sure you:

  • can access money
  • understand what your insurance will cover
  • can make arrangements to extend your stay and be away for longer than planned
